Kalokairi is the fictional Greek island in the movie Mamma Mia! and its sequel. It is the location of the Villa Donna, a hotel that is run by Donna Sheridan. The island is known for having a beach, and a beautiful church chapel. The only way to access Kalokairi is by boat or aircraft, and the only way to get to Villa Donna (later known as Bella Donna) is by automobile and then up a flight of stairs. In the original film Kalokairi is comprised of several Greek locations, including Skopelos right on Kastani Beach, along with neighboring island Skiathos as well as the seaside hamlet of Damouchari in the Pelion area. In the sequel the island is mostly comprised of the Croatian island Vis, which is located off the Dalmatian coast in the Adriatic Sea.
